About

I’m a recent English Lit graduate with many half-baked ideas of what I want to do in life: travel the world, live extravagantly, marry into money a la Anna Nicole (or better yet, Jack McFarland). However, one idea that’s spent a bit more time in the oven is that of being a teacher. As absurd as it sounds, few places have greater appeal to me than that of a classroom: that strange nexus of sharing knowledge, fighting educratic wars, and surviving from the mass of adolescents.

This blog is my most recent attempt in chronicling my experiences for reflection and archival purposes. I’ve tried to blog or keep journals before, with little success. Part of my failure is laziness, but a larger part is that my life before didn’t feel like it warrants a record. I’m not wealthy or well-travelled, nor am I particularly talented in any one thing. Also, posting random statuses are best left on Facebook and Twitter. But now, I feel like I’m at a juncture where my life might become less banal, and so I’d like to pause every now and then to see how much (or how little) my life has changed.

This is a personal blog, with a slight scope toward issues regarding education. I also like to dabble in a few other hobbies, like taking pictures and reading various works, so you may see me post about those things along with an assortment of other topics my mind has wandered toward.
